I used this cutting board wax to season and coat a serving fork that I made in the forge. I made the fork out of spring steel, the same steel I use for knives, but for some reason, the fork tarnished very quickly. Especially when put in the dishwasher. After doing some research, I decided to purchase this product to season and coat the fork. After polishing the fork to remove the tarnish, I heated the fork in the oven for 30 minutes at 300 degrees. Then I simply took the fork out of the oven, applied the wax with a foam brush and let it soak until it cooled down. I wiped off any excess and stuck the fork back in the oven for another round. I did this 3 times and after using the fork this Thanksgiving - no dark spots and no tarnish. Worked perfectly so far. Not really what the product was intended, but it worked for my purposes.

Easy to use and makes butcher block countertop look so nice. Protects well and leaves a nice finish that water won't penetrate. Will be ordering again when I need more.

We have a hand-me-down oak kitchen table that I used Tung Oil on once and that seemed to soak into the papers and place mats we put on the table. That gave the table a nice color to start with, but said to re-apply it every week. This stuff is a little thicker, but boy, does it last. No soaking into anything at all, and it seems to polish itself the more we use the table. I had little "scrapes" across the table where things were dragged and seemed to indent into the wood (rather than sand/scrape it off), and this lifted those up so I don't even see them anymore unless I really look for them. I will be buying more whenever this bottle runs out.

This stuff seems to work great! It really brings out the grain and gives a little sheen. It’s very easy to use. It does feel a little bit greasy but soaks into the wood and leaves a beautiful finish. I used it on a walnut cutting boards and a walnut speaker frame to “match” the existing finish.

The question isn't whether I liked the product. Rather, did my cutting board like it.As instructed, I cleaned , washed and thoroughly dried my 10+ year old board. I then applied a liberal coating.About half an hour later I heard a strange noise from the kitchen. There I found the cutting board singing and dancing! After a brief massage (rubbing the product in) my board calmed down and is now purring quietly in it's usual resting place. All kidding aside, this stuff really works great. Both my cutting and I are happy to have found this product.

This board conditioner is an excellent product. I have used it on six cutting boards after sanding and treating with food grade mineral oil. As a finishing treatment, applied properly, and buffed with an electric buffer, it imparts a silky smooth finish that allows the beauty of the wood to come through. I have used this on oak, maple, mesquite and Ponderosa Pine boards, with success on every one. After drying and polishing, the finish is better than when the boards were new. If you follow directions, especially making sure that the board and the conditioner are warm (outdoors in AZ, this is not a problem). You can also place the bottle in a pan of hot water for ten minutes to warm it. Highly reccomended.

I really like this product a lot. I purchased a new large wood cutting board and had already treated it with a good quality food grade oil to protect it, but I wanted a good conditioner for it before I started using it. I found this product on Amazon and was impressed with the ingredients used to make it. I read the reviews and decided to get it -- and I am glad I did. Used as directed, this product was easily applied and made the wood look great. I feel confident in the conditioning effects of this product and would highly recommend it to anyone that wants a quality product to product their wood kitchen items.
