Used these to connect my brief case to a shoulder strap. The weight of the brief case, probably 15lbs with computer and accessories, was enough to pry these open in one days use. Now I just use them for hooking very light things to may backpacks, for instance a hat or sanitizer bottle.

The D-Rings have good strength and have a nice glossy finish. The clip is springy so it should provide some security. The placement of the clip is smart. Being on the side, it’s out of the way and won’t be stressed during the use of D-Ring. All the use cases on the product page are all very plausible.
