Perfect for drop F# on a 37" scale bass. I have a Legator Wraith 5 string and this works great. I only wish they'd make this in stainless steel for extra brightness.

Ordered two times, first time i receive a string that was cut in half, second time a received a string that's not really "Super Long Scale", I'm going to refund again.

Edited 7/28: The .145 tapered super longs fit my Peavey Grind 4, which is a 35” string through. As always they sound great.For anyone with multi scale basses with a standard Dingwall scale, Payson bass strings are the way to go. Way quicker shipping than Kalium and based in Texas. I use them on my BTB MS and they’re great.-——————The string quality is fine, they always are but it’s 1.25” shorter than my Payson .160 and 7/8” shy of the nut. How this can say it fits 38” then? They either need to fix this or remove that it’ll work for 38” scales. I saw others mention they were too short but I wanted verify it wasn’t a batch of mislabeled strings. Too short, Ibanez BTB605ms

I ordered the .165 super long tapered string and received a regular scale string in the super long packagingIt was tapered too short for my Schecter 36” scale Stiletto Studio 5 FF bassNormally these strings are long enough and they work well, but beware when ordering from this listing. You may get a mistakenly packaged stringI compared it with some super long scale and regular scale strings I have and it was indeed regular scale, despite the packaging saying super longAmazon support just said I would have to mail them the now opened string in order to get a correct replacement sent. It’s a bass string, do you really want to repackage a single string and mail it back just to get what you ordered the first time?Great strings, but unsatisfied with the service and packaging mistake.

Sounds good as you’d expect D’addario to sound. I thought that by being “super long scale” it would be long enough for my Dingwall Combustion 5, but it was not.

great string! Although it is not long enough for dingwalls, ESP, or anything with a 37" scale. This is for a 36" scale and under.

Bought it for a 37 inch scale bass, a whole inch less of what it's supposed to reach and the tapering ends before the nut, completely useless. I love the daddario tone, but this is not well advertised

Für die mächtigen aktuellen 7saiter im Bassbereich wie dem Ibanez BTB7 mit 35"-Mensur wurden Saiten mit bekannt gutem Klang gesucht, hier kam es auf höhenreichen, obertonstarken Sound an. Mein Eindruck: meine Siebensaiter haben alle sehr gewonnen mit diesen Saiten, hier wird nix leiser am unteren Ende, Tonalität super, stimmstabilität wie immer hervorrangend, auch der Saitenzug ausreichend. Vorne und hinten verjüngt sich diese fast 5mm dicke Saite auf bedeutend geringene Durchmesser (step wound / tapered winding) woduch das Aufspannen sehr erleichtert wird. Wertet wie die passenden XB6saiter-Sätze gewaltig auf, 7 Saiten am Bass sind kein Hindernis mehr, machen richtig Spass ! Bässe im Test waren u. a. Tanatos7-Bass ähnlich Claymore-Serie, H&K 7Saiter WTHB S7 ( == Wolf / Santander, Südkorea ).Sehr zu empfehlen !Mike.
