I can't recommend a plastic clarinet for a serious student. I don't know how band teachers feel. but THIS plastic clarinet is one of the the best thing to happen to me this past year- I'm a cancer survivor, guitar player , I can't just go out and but a $700 clarinet. So I got a plastic one, and I put time in , and now I play clarinet!!!! when I find a yard sale clarinet or I acquire $700+ I will know what I'm talking aboutYou're not too old, it's not too late - and so much cheaper than accordions lol

The clarinet was out of tune and wouldn't tune at all. It squeaked alot when my daughter tried to play it and she's been playing for 5 years. Her band instructor told her it was just a bad clarinet

This is a fun way to have a personalized instrument. It plays well and has been durable enough to withstand the back and forth from High School.

This clarinet looks better in real life than it does on the internet. I bought this for my granddaughter's Christmas present, so I am unsure of any details of its quality and sound as of yet, but, I can tell you it looks very professional, and it is well built; I think she is going to love it! The color that shows on the internet is almost identical to what is shipped! This company also has very fast shipping...very satisfied!

This clarinet is acceptable if you look for something cheap, funny (color) and ready to be used in difficult conditions (by small kids, or outdoor for instance).Embouchure has to be replaced, but this is normal even with high-end clarinets, intonation is fair, sound is a bit “dry” but understandable, not being wood. Not sure how long it will resist over time, too early to know.I’m an amateur musician with solid background, I’ve been playing for 30+ years, I have a Buffet and Patricola. So for me, considering the tag price, is ok.

Lasted for a few months (5), now all the keys have bent and cannot be fixed professionally. Back to the school provided instrument. Not worth the money. I am guessing from the other posts that getting my money back is impossible. Lesson learned the hard way.

This is great if your child is 6 years old or below and never touched a clarinet. This should not be classified as a student clarinet or anything producing great quality. My daughter's hand me down clarinet from my son 11 years ago performs better.
