Swapped this from an 80w spindle... No machine should come with less than a 500w LOLEverything wired up easily to my current setup of a TTC450 Pro. I'm easily cutting detailed material at 400in/min with a 2.5mm 2 flute flat endmill bit, and I think from the sound is still pretty slow.I would like to see this setup come standard with an enclosure, but that's what 3D printing is for LOL.Spindle is rated for 12k RPM, hasn't been an issue with any hardwood or acrylic for me.Definitely happy with this!

Motors is quiet and runout seems great. However, it shipped with a faulty potentiometer. This led to all kinds of headaches getting it running, as it worked intermittently and liked to change RPM on its own.I spent more opportunity cost in my time diagnosing this issue than I paid for the motor kit, which is frustrating. Overall however the kit is a good value. I suspect the cheap/shoddy potentiometer could be responsible for others' issues, so if you have a 10k potentiometer sitting around I'd plan to replace this one immediately.

not fully tested yet, but still has some vibrations, and movement on the shaft axes.things i hoped would be better compare to the brushed version of this motor.

Easy to assemble and setup, however the spindle has too little torque to cut through aluminum. Even a drilling operation (with peck enabled and 0.3mm depth of cut) was difficult. I do not recommend this spindle for cutting soft metals. It is probably ok for wood and plastics.

I can't say enough good things about this product. I had a 500W DC spindle but it vibrated so badly it nearly tore my machine apart. This spindle is deathly smooth running and really quiet! I would recommend this kit to anyone.
