works great, some knowledge of video & IP nomenclature helpful but not essential to attain a working recording system.(You must install your own HDD to record) Outstanding picture

Great DVR. Good interface and easy to setup. Comes with all the wires and screwed needed to connect the hard drive inside the box (must have your own). Also has a remote control which is neat. I was replacing an older Dahua based DVR which was failing and this new one is working flawlessly. Just had to enter all settings such as IP and ports. The gDMSS works great on Android 10 and was just recently updated which was important because the older box I had used another app which hasn't been updated in 3 years and doesn't work with latest Android. Web interface also looks better than older units I have/had. With this one you need Internet Explorer to be able to view live video or playback recordings but you can still login with Chrome, Firefox or Edge and manage settings. This again compared to older units that won't even let you login unless plugins are installed which you can't even install for anything other than IE. Great unit for the price.
