This alarm is made of plastic. It can be kept in its case as it has a cover or you can set it out. I like it open with the cover tucked under itself. Beneath the date and time, there will be a specific chapter and verse. The message referred to will scroll on the screen. You can press the message button and the message will also scroll across the screen. It is a nice reminder and alarm. The thing I did not particularly care for besides the cheap plastic, was that although the message changed every day, it appeared to repeat the same message in the same month and even in the same week. But you can change the verse to another one stored. The price for this should be lowered, IMO. It should be more like $9.99 or so.

I bought this for a Christmas gift. The person absolutely loved it. This is a nice little gift for someone who is religious.
