I like this book, easy to learn tablet weaving with. I would recommend being at least familiar with tablet or even Inkle weaving before starting, maybe watch a few YouTube tutorials to get your feet wet, but otherwise, happy with my purchase!

This is exactly what I needed to get through my card weaving frustrations. Like the author, I am a visual learner and the slabs of numbers was just overwhelming for me, sensory wise.I've had some luck with more visual pattern styles like shading for back turns, etc but still would get lost. This book is perfect for me. I've read through a bit and it makes so much senseNot only that, but I easily could see how I can code bands that I design.Wonderful. Thank you for the all the work that went into this.

I just received this book and I couldn't be happier. It's exactly what I wanted. I've gotten plenty of pattern books that have chapters about the history of tablet weaving, and instructions for beginners. I was getting frustrated trying to find patterns on-line. This book contains exactly the types of patterns I've been wanting to try, along with crystal clear instructions.

I had found out about this pattern book through TWIST magazine's fall edition mystery weave and after having the easiest and quickest warp up (a few hours instead of the whole weekend!) and l decided to get the book.Very clear warping instructions for 12 up to 30+ tablets and have to say l love and want to weave up all the patterns. I am partial to the shaded chart and was very happy to see it included with all the patterns.Hoping for a second book!

Excellent book, easy to follow starts with easy patterns and then gets more complex.

Wow, what a wonderful book! I have quite a bit of experience with tablet weaving, but this method is by far the best! No more mis-counting the cards or trying to figure out if any of the turns are wrong. Compare the colors on top to the cards with the pattern and if they match, the turns are correct! Brilliant! I'm weaving so much faster and more accurately using this method. And if you don't like the color method, all of the patterns are listed the traditional way as well. I also LOVE that the author added a "twist" "no twist" notation to each pattern. It makes it easier to decide how to warp it. If it says "no twist", I know I won't have to make a complicated warp using swivels or weights. It even has a reminder on each page for threading "s" versus "z" so you don't have to keep flipping back pages if you happen to forget. And it's spiral bound, so will easily lay flat. Every aspect of this book has been thoroughly thought out by the author. I think it would be a great book for beginners and more advanced tablet weavers. The first part of the book addresses the basics of terms and how to set things up.I do not know the author, nor did I get any sort of discount for reviewing this book. It's just simply a great tablet weaving book that demands high praise. I plan to turn all my pattern drafts into these color charts.

I'm a relatively new weaver, and found his color coded way of tablet weaving to be very helpful. I was able to - for the first time - weave patterns I had failed at previously. If you're interested in learning how to tablet weave but have struggled, I would recommend you try this book!
