Bought this for my bathtub for "emergency needs". Tested and it holds water. If in an emergency, power outage, or what not - you should fill your bathtub(s) up with water so you have toilet water and water to bath with [just the good bits] after the city water runs out, days later - ugh - it happens - be ready - And this is a very cheap resolution. GET ONE that fit's your tub today !! My tub was/is a 1 1/2" drain and this size 1 5/8 was/is a flush fit. Good Luck!!

2nd one I've bought. I needed a stopper for the utility sink. OK. It does the job and holds water in the sink. It is, however, of cheap quality and is knocked out of the drain easily. It will do temporarily, but I think I'll look for something a little more upscale and substantive.

Do not buy it! The rubber is soft and It can not hold in right place in your bathtub.

First time I pulled wire ring, to unplug the drain, it popped off. No hole for ring, just clamped on. I had to drill a hole, insert ring and clamp tight. Other than that it is great--quality wire ring and stopper material
