I got this pair of handles for my 90 year old neighbor, who struggles to get in and out of the car even with help. Every time I him come and go, they're using this handle. Clearly it helps! You can only use one per door though, so it is not a two-handed solution. It's easy enough to insert into the door catch and a little notch ensures it doesn't slip around too much. They are bigger than I thought and sturdy and the handles covers are pre-installed (like heat-shrink) onto the handles so I don't know why they're depicted as separate. I don't know that they'd work well as either a seatbelt cutter of window smasher, but I suppose in a life-threatening situation they'd suffice, just not as good as the tools dedicated for that purpose.

These are exactly what you would expect. In fact that is what makes them hard to review.They are strong enough to use as support while getting out of a car and they have the extra features of the glass break point and the seatbelt cutter. Now, I understand that it will be an extremely bad day if you need to use these two extra features but with that said, I don’t know how reliable they will be in that situation. With all honesty you shouldn’t be buying this for that reason in the first place. I would recommend finding a much better tool for that job because it’s your life we are talking about and an add on feature such as this a gimmick to make it stand out of the crowd.Ok, I’m off my soap box. If you are buying this to help yourself or someone to get in and out of a car the 2 pack will be a good choice.

The product works well. You can really put your weight on it to help you get out of the car. Highly recommend!

I like this handle. I am disabled and like that I can use this handle for added assistance when I exit the vehicle. This handle comes with a glass cutter and a hammer tool which is used to cut the seat belt or to break the glass window. The issue here is that the rubber hammer cap tends to slip off which can scratch the inside of the door. The other issue is that the blade could cut your hand if you slip or break the plastic end cap if you are not paying attention.

These car door fame handles are also emergency tools for breaking car windows and cutting seatbelts when needed. They fit into the door frame loops to provide a lift handle to help people with mobility issues get out of a car and they have a good grip. I think they're probably about an inch longer than necessary which can kind of get in the way, but they do work for the designed purpose. They come with plastic caps to cover the sharp window points but those tend to come off when the handles are removed from the door frame loops. They work as intended, and are worthwhile for elderly and others who have problems getting out of a car.

Easy to assemble and disassemble, and very sturdy. Immensely helps my elderly mother getting in and out of car. l recommend it to the people who need asssistance.
