I'm not sure how useful the object is for being visible to cars on the road, but it's always fun for kids and helps them keep pedaling home. The battery lasts long enough.

I understand the company wants to make the product look as good as it can in the pictures, but it’s a bit misleading for how they are in real life. These lights are bright if you’re looking directly at them, and you can see them on the wheels at night when someone is riding by you. However, they don’t really glow all over the street or the rest of your wheel like they show in the picture it’s a much less dramatic effect. if you’re writing in a city with a lot of street lights, you may not even notice these at all. But if you’re writing away from lights in a darker area then you’ll be able to see them on the ground or on anything that is within 1 foot on either side of the wheel (like a wall). They were a bit tricky to install because the spokes get really narrow towards the axle of the wheel. Only one of them fit my front wheel, the other one was too small. The battery life is great. On my commute I can use them for a month before I need to recharge them. It’s a bit tricky to turn them on and off because you have to stick your finger in between the spokes, which are also close together. I’m not sure what the expected functionality is, but on one of them it remembers the color setting from when I last turned it off, but the other one does not remember and always starts in the same spot with red flashing lights. The one that I was able to get onto my front wheel doesn’t budge when I go over large bumps or turns or riding at high speeds. I actually thought it would fall off on a big bump, but it doesn’t.

I ride a bike for work and these look great on it. They're more waterproof and rugged that I might expect. My only wish is that they had longer battery life. You get about 3 hours out of a charge if the lights are a solid color (longer if flashing). They're still pretty awesome, but expect to have to take them on and off a lot to charge them.

It seems like these days it's hard to get a gift that children really like. So, I got these for both my grandsons (8-11) and they were totally thrilled with them. So is their mom. They living in a estate that has very little traffic and very low speed limits, so the boys can ride after dark and and these lights can be seen from quite a distance.

Bought them because the annual Montreal "Tour Du Nuit" bike tour is coming up this week, and I wanted to light up my bike like everyone else does for this night tour through the city. Considered the ones with the string of lights that you weave through the spokes, or the ones that attach to a spoke and when they spin, they make various patterns. One of the reasons I chose this type, was they looked simpler to use (it's all located at the hub, no wires to get snagged), and that they run on a rechargeable battery, so I don't need to keep feeding it AAA batteries, or need to have an extra battery box somewhere on the wheel. They have lots of light patterns to choose from, from a dozen different colors, solid or flashing, so you can find something everyone likes. Some things to note are:- Measure the size of your hubs before ordering. They only fit hubs - They give you many different sizes of foam to make them fit tight, but it's a little bit of a struggle to find the right size, until you find the right ones, then once the foam is in place, it's all good and easy- It's a bit difficult to charge them on the bike, because the rubber flap over the charge port gets in the way with the release tab that you use to unlock the unit from the hub. A better design would have been to move the charge port to ANYWHERE else on the unit other than right underneath the release tab. But that is something that should go back to the manufacturer, to consider for the Mark II model.- I've only used them once so far for about an hour, I will give them a good test tomorrow on the night tour, to see if they can last the 3+ hours they say they should.I think kids would love them, but I don't see kids biking much at night.EDIT: just did a nighttime tour with the lights on for about 2.5-3 hours, and they were still going strong when I got home

Meant as a gift but it's obviously been used - so it's not much use to me. I haven't checked how they work, but I'm not paying $67 for a second hand product that I ordered new. Shipping time was fine - I'm unlikely to have a replacement by Christmas though (purchased 29 Nov, received today 13 Dec).

There are 2 functions, steady and flashing, with a bunch of colors. Getting them to fit the hubs took some patience, but they look great if you're trying to call attention to yourself on your bike at night.

Great little lights! Haven't used them on the road yet but tested and and mounted these on my bicycle cargo trailer. Charge them a USB port. ( Package includes 2 lights and 2 USB recharging cords.) The lights open up with a thumb latch, you work it between the wheel spokes, snap it closed on the wheel hub, done. I didn't measure the max hub size these lights will fit but if you have an E-bike these aren't going to work. For smaller hub sizes they include plenty of spacers to fit. Fit great on my trailer. 1 button to turn it on and cycle through the different light modes. They seem pretty durable so if you have kids that have to take them on and off or change the color every 5 min they should take it. I like that it has one button operation but you have to push the button multiple times to get the mode you want every time you turn them on. No memory. I have a lot of lights on my bike and trailer. 4 headlights, 2 taillights and now 4 wheel lights. It takes awhile topush all the buttons to turn them all on and off. I'm almost 61 yrs old and feel a bit silly with the wheel lights but I want to be sure motorists can see me in the dark.

These bike lights are great! I bought them for my foldable bike, 20" wheel, to ride my bike at night; I've had them for about half a year now without having to recharge them yet. I ride my bike through a college town (the town goes to sleep very early and the streets are not well lit - only cars are around). I have to say that these bike lights are very bright and noticeable at night- cars who are speeding noticeably slow down at the sight of my lit-up bike. The lights come with various light settings (red, green, white, blue, or multicolor) which are easy to set on the module; I like to do that multi-color; this setting gives off a mini club strobe light vibe but it also is the most eye-catching and fun. I'm buying a new set to put on my other bike. I would prefer these guys be cheaper but if you're looking for something full proof and worth the money to avoid getting hit by a car, these are great.
