If you plan on using strut channels for anything you will almost certainly need to use strut nuts. When you do, they are nearly impossible to work with without this tool. It is great quality, and is impact driver rated. It is far more expensive than it should be, but unfortunately it’s the only one out there and they charge this because they can.

I like that it fits inside the single strut supports to tighten the 1/2 bolt. 🔩

This works great for tightening nuts on larger U-bolts or just nuts/bolts in strut. The larger sizes spec'd by some drawings can't be accessed with normal or even thin-walled sockets. Found this and immediately removed stress from my crew when installing the larger hardware. Definitely worth the money.

I’ve been looking for this socket for about 10 years but could never find one. The Electrical Suppliers would have no idea what I was talking about when I’d describe it. And, when I’d type “unistrut Socket” or “Strut Socket” into the various Internet search bars nothing would come up. I finally figured out it’s called a “Channel Socket”. So, now I have one.
