Quick Overview Turn almost anything with a flat surface into a speaker. The Dayton Audio DAEX32QMB-4 4 ohm 40 watt sound exciter improves power handling with a vented voice coil. Also, the arms help to support the magnet/voice coil improving linearity when mounted on horizontal surfaces. A neodymium magnet is employed to create maximum magnetic flux around the proprietary voice coil for increased sensitivity when compared to similar sized exciters. In turn, this reduces power requirements and makes it possible to use very small audio amplifiers, without sacrificing total output. The 1.25" voice coil allows for more input power, creating rich, dynamic sound. To ensure maximum acoustic energy transfer between the transducer and the surface to which it is attached, 3M VHB (Very High Bond) adhesive is pre-applied to the main body, and the four arms ... just peel and stick! Note: An exciters frequency response and sensitivity are completely dependent on the exciters designated surface. Thinner, smaller materials will tend to be louder and create a mid/tweeter response. Thicker, larger materials (with multiple exciters) will be slightly quieter but result in a more full-range sound. Specifications: Power handling: 40 watts RMS VCdia: 1.25" (32 mm) Nominal impedance: 4 ohms Re: 3.7 ohms Le: 0.

I mounted two of these inside bathroom walls. I stuck one to the outside of a shower enclosure and the other on the back side of drywall. They're driven by a Pyle Bluetooth mini amp. It exceeded my expectations. The result is amazing, loud and almost immersive stereo sound in the bathroom. Bass and treble response is great (will vary depending on what you attach them to). I recommend pressing these against the surface and moving them around to optimize the sound before sticking them on permanently. It's especially nice in a bathroom since there are no visible speakers and no worries about speakers getting wet.The only downside is increased water use from the inevitable longer showers.

I saw a YouTube video explaining how to make a speaker out of any material, so I thought I would give it a try. I was able to make a 1/4" sheet of plywood sound pretty good. My next project is to make a speaker out of wall art so as not to be able to detect where the music is coming from.

Split xps foam panel quad. Bottom panel driven with 1200 watt class a/b amp @ 4 ohm, tops driven with 600 watt class a/b amp @ 4 ohm. Yes, you can use this type power responsibly and it will yield great results. These exciters truly appreciate the 2000 high damping factor these amps provide. Only using around 10-15 watts of this power leaving the rest in reserve for whatever dynamic transients the music may demand. Accompanied by four powered subs. Streaming source, windows computer with a Creative Z Sabre Dac. and software suite. Sounds phenomenal! Friends are also very impressed. Far beyond my expectations!

Great sound on foam board, holds well, and is very clear and loud. Minimal distortion until max volume is reached.

I use these five of them for about 3 years attached to some pink foam instead of satellites for my surround sound system they are very loud and very clear they also however have zero bass and if you don't figure that into your circuit they will explode that being said slap a cap or a resistor in there and you're going to go

Careful with the arms on this. I had one snap right off when I tried to remove the adhesive. Bummer. Maybe I can fix it with some plastic glue. I'll probably go for one of the other designs next time.

Used these in a Virtual pinball Cabinet. I tried 2 others before ending up with these. They are almost a perfect match to the TPA3116D2 Audio Modules I used. The 40watt 4 ohm rating is what was missing from the others ones I tried prior.

When attached to a 2'x2' sheet of insulation foam, these produced a surprising amount of clear sound. Obviously there's no bass at all, but mid-treble is OK. Not super loud, but two were enough to fill a 20'x20' room. Try them out because they're neat, not because they're the best audio experience.
