Just acquired a pair of Arendal Monitor S speakers and while I had them on speaker stands, the structure was top heavy. So to stabilize the outriggers are now attached to the base of the stands. We have a toddler in the house. Each speaker is 40 lbs. If any of them were to topple on the 2 year old, it would crush her. The outriggers provide a measure of safety I can live with.

One of these had so much paint in the holes the screws wouldn’t fit. I had to strip the paint and use a vice grip to get the cones to fit. A real pain.They did the job, but I wonder if another company might have better quality control.

Put it on my Orpheus tower which is slim and easily tipped (grandchildren coming).Big stability improvement and looks very nice. Sound ( on carpeted concrete) seems unaffected).Bought the last one but back in stock now, so I’ve ordered another.

These are pretty basic. They work, but for the price I was expecting better.—The threads that are used to screw the spikes in are painted over. This makes for lousy, labored twisting when trying to remove the paint from the screw threads putting it all together.—The posts are pretty basic not high quality machined feeling. Stamped steel. Some dented spike points. Still, $60+ a pair, no returns.—It comes with washers for assembly. 3 of the 4 matched, one was a different size. Bad quality control there.—Also, no instructions. Are they needed? Not necessarily, but some recommended assembly instructions wouldn't hurt (for $60). All you get is a few bags of random hardware with no real direction.
