I purchased this regulator on September 1, 2023 for a Ford 2N tractor along with a generator from Db Electrical. The regulator appeared to work fine when it was first installed. I only use the 2N tractor for cutting grass so it was not used from the end of September to late May of this year. I recently noticed that the battery was discharging even with the ignition switch off. It appears that another individual who purchased this item experienced the same issue. I have also found the generator running so hot that you can not touch it, which is indicative of a switch constantly calling for the generator to charge the battery. Looking to get a refund/replacement on the one year warranty but there does not appear to be a way of contacting Db to initiate the claim!

Part purchased July 13, 2023. Description say it's a VOLTAGE REUGLATOR. It a CUTOUT that does not control the generator output. It is supposed to switch open so there is no feed back. It failed causing battery to discharge. Even with ignition switch off ammeter went to minus 20. Only way to control generator output was to drive with lights on & when stopping disconnect the battery.Would like to return for refund. $36.71. Made in Taiwan Junk.

All the bad reviews worries me but so far my experience has been good but cautious. Medium rating is primarily dud to lack of information accompanying the part. However was easy to install and is functioning.

Junk. Worked for awhile then drained the battery so you have to disconnect the battery. Now won't let the battery charge anymore. Don't waste your money
