Please see the review by "Rini Boo". His notes are extremely important. I followed his notes, and it works fine.

Overall it looked well made, nicely finished finish on all co polenta, but for some reason the starter bendix did not come out far enough to engage the ring gear. It looked well made,Ike it should but never did. Measured it ok, but…Returned it as it was useless for my puprpose, despite having the right part number and looking like it should align.

Just replace the dummy cap and screw the starter into the specific spots. Then plug and play. Also make sure you are not squeezing the fuel ⛽ line from tank to carburetor

Works just as I needed it to. We put it on an ariens snow blower and fits perfectly. I wish the plug in on the starter was just a little longer I had to really work a bit to get it to where it mounts but no complaints

I used this to add electric start to my snow blower. Some consolidation of oe parts is likely, I had to make some additional modifications to my engine's air shroud beyond the cut out lines.Works as expected. Had to shim with washers for optimal gear engagement, not an issue with the product. The design of the Tecumseh engine required head bolts to be removed to remove the air shroud, so it's not an undertaking for the faint of heart. Replacing an existing starter should be easy.
