The Nostril Piercing
Description:Placed on the side of the nose,usually seated in a niche called the supra-alar crease(where the nostril naturally flares)
Healing time:3-4 months or longer
Initial jewelry style:Ring-style,nostril screw,or mini barbell
Initial Jewelry Gauge: Rings 20 gauge or thicker,up to 12 gauge for a large piercing,20 or 18 Gauge nostril screws with a head(gem,ball,or other ornament) 1.75mm or large;or 16 gauge,with a head 2mm or large
Initial jewelry Size:Ring diameters common 5/16 to 7/16 inch;post length on nostril screw or mini barbell is anatomically dependent and must have room for some swelling
Nostril Piercing:Changing jewelry
Once your piercing has fully healed,with a little patience and practice,you may be able to change nostril jewelry yourself,though many piercees prefer to get assistance from their piercer.To remove a nostril screw,it must be twisted and pulled,following the curve of the corkscrew.Most nostrial screws are tiny and can be tricky to handle,especially at first.Inserting a nostril screw is a little like riding a bicycle:when you move too slowly,it doesn't go smoothy.Once the tail portion is through the nostril,a swift twisting motion to get the post through the tissue is often best.The hard part can be passing thetail all the way through the channel before it curves-and finding the inside surface,since you can't see it.If the screw is made with too short or tight a tail,it can be nearly impossible to insert,Even if the straight post is long enought.
Nostril Piercing:Retiring
Many piercees find a nostril piercing does not stay open long without jewelry in place.The hole can shrink in the time it takes you to remove,wash and dry your jewelry and try to put it back in place.If you like the piercing,leave jewelry in at all times.
If you abandon a nostril piercing,you will have minimal scarring if you wore the usual small gauge jewelry and your healing was uneventful.The residual mark ordinarily resembles and enlarged pore.Troubled healing could leave substantial scarring.

This is the 2mm one, and it’s a very cute, dainty stud. Not too small, not too big—it’s just perfect. Very sparkly, and the metal is high-quality stainless steel. My skin is usually very picky and reacts to almost any metal, but with this one, I haven’t had any reaction. This is my second stud after piercing my nose. My piercing was done using a titanium stud, and after three months, I still had an irritation bump. But after buying this one and wearing it for a week, my bump is gone. I love it!

I like to keep extras on hand as I have two nostril piercings and sometimes they fall out in my sleep. Haha ( I move a lot ). These are terrific quality, long lasting and affordable.

The size is perfect and they have not tarnished or turned the skin green. Durable and didn't irritate the skin. I bought it for my daughter and son both loved them. Well worth the money, will buy again.

These are the perfect corkscrew nose rings. The gem size is just what I was looking for and had the perfect shine. They stay in my nose and don’t irritate the skin around it. Good price for the amount of jewelry.

So…I got a flat back stud from the place I got my nose pierced at. It was constantly creating pressure against my nose, was always a tender spot & sticking out and when my niece pulled at it I was done. I tried another flat back set from Amazon bc it was all I knew and that one caused a bump on my nose (I have sensitive skin and it wasn’t hypoallergenic like it claimed) and was sticking out even worse.This one was the second set I bought and I’m so happy I did. I had no idea what I was missing with L shaped backings. (And I found out I don’t like corkscrews.) This fit like a charm, no pressure on my nose, and I still have more even though I dropped the first one down the sink. (Put a tissue on the drain before you fiddle with your studs…my mom said)No irritation, size is great, the stud sits flat on my nose + isn’t too big or too small. I touch it sometimes surprised at how comfortable it is compared to the flat backs I’ve tried. It hasn’t snagged on anything yet either. The inside L curve shape sits perfectly flat and feels so natural. It’s like if my nose was stapled to size lolThings I would look at if I repurchased: I wouldn’t get the rings in the set next time, they’re too big and I only have the one nose piercing on the side haha but if you like to try several things at once this is the set for you!Also ideally the gem would be shinier and catch light more but I honestly can’t complain!

Für meine Nase total passend, bei mir schaut auch nichts raus. Zudem Für den Preis unschlagbar. Stabil und Preiswert. Wie lange sich der Stein hält, kann ich noch nichts dazu sagen aber ich hab ja nun genug Ersatz😁
