Works fine, heavy enough to run 12vdc @ around 10amps with no issues. Nice to have them come pre-wired and just have to solder them to my project. I did have one of the pre-crimped terminals come apart, I just slid it back together, soldered it and kept going. I suppose that next time I'll probably pull them all and check but the "tug test" passed for now.The price is right for this switch. I wasn't sure if I could get away without a relay but they don't even get warm.

I ordered these switches to drive a door lock motor which needs a brief +12 to lock and a brief -12 to unlock. The switch description says “This switch is an instantaneous automatic reset action, and is reset to off after release.” That describes a momentary switch that is spring loaded to return to off when released. These switches don’t do that.I measured the switch functionality and found that they worked as a double pole double throw, except the rockers were installed in reverse of each other. They are wired the same with respect to the printed rating and certification side, but the rockers are reversed with respect to that side as shown in the photo. This results in the like colored wires being connected when the I is depressed on one switch and when the II is depressed on the other. This can be corrected by rewiring one of the switches, but shouldn’t have to be.The basic switch seems OK as a non-momentary switch, but manufacturing quality control is problematic. I took off one star off for the wrong description and one for the inconsistent rocker placement. If the description is corrected, I’ll give it another star.Note: The description has been corrected. Adding one star.

The URANT Polarity Reverse Rocker Switch is designed for various applications where motor control and polarity reversing are required. This review covers its key features, advantages, and potential drawbacks:Features:Switch Type: This is a 6-pin, 3-position rocker switch with the configuration ON-Off-ON. This setup allows for reversing the polarity of the power supply, which is useful for controlling motor direction or similar applications.Current and Voltage Ratings:AC Voltage: 125V-250VDC Voltage: 16VCurrent: 10A (for AC) and 20A (for DC)These ratings indicate the switch can handle moderate current loads in both AC and DC circuits, though it’s optimized for DC applications.Material and Finish: The switch is typically finished in black, with a design that suits various automotive and actuator applications. The build is often robust but does not include waterproofing features.Applications: Suitable for automotive use, controlling linear actuators, or other applications where polarity reversal is needed. It is designed for use in environments where water resistance is not a concern, as it is not waterproof.Pros:Polarity Reversal: The ON-Off-ON configuration allows for easy polarity reversal, making it ideal for controlling the direction of DC motors or actuators.High DC Current Rating: With a 20A rating for DC, it can handle substantial loads, making it suitable for high-current applications.Versatility: Can be used in various automotive and industrial settings, providing flexibility for different projects that require motor control or polarity switching.Simple Operation: The rocker switch design is intuitive and easy to operate, providing clear feedback when toggling between positions.Cons:Non-Waterproof: The switch does not have a waterproof rating, which limits its use to environments where moisture is not a concern. It’s not suitable for outdoor or marine applications without additional protection.AC Rating Limitations: While the switch is rated for AC up to 10A, it is primarily optimized for DC use. Its performance at higher AC currents may not be as reliable as dedicated AC switches.Durability Concerns: Depending on the construction quality, the switch may wear out faster under heavy use or high-current conditions, particularly in demanding applications. Conclusion:The URANT Polarity Reverse Rocker Switch is a versatile and practical choice for applications requiring motor control and polarity reversal. With its 6-pin, 3-position design, it allows for straightforward operation of DC motors and actuators, handling up to 20A in DC circuits effectively. However, its lack of waterproofing limits its use to non-moisture-prone environments. While it performs well in DC applications, users should be aware of its limitations in AC circuits and consider additional protection if using it in potentially wet conditions. Overall, it is a solid choice for automotive and actuator control where its specific features align with the project's needs.

Used it for a small DC motor to change directions of the shaft. Seemed to work well for a low voltage and current application.

I don't know if it was my lack of understanding or something about these switches not being DC rated. I consider myself moderately knowledgeable of electronics, having built many projects from the days of Radio Shack to today.First, the description of these switches was confusing. The description specifically said "automatic reset action, and is reset to off after release." Based on my understanding and some research to confirm, this indicates a momentary switch. But it also says "on-off-on", so it should not be a momentary switch. So, when I connected it to a 12V LiFePO4 battery and a 12V DC motor, I was more confused because the switch worked like a momentary switch, but the motor ran for a couple of seconds, then shut off. Toggling the switch the other way did the same thing, but in reverse. Out of frustration, I toggled the switch back and forth while under power and load and it miraculously started working like an on-off-on switch, staying on until toggled to the off position. This likely could be how it was designed, as I have had something similar with an electronic switch (i.e. not a physical toggle). But the description said nothing about this and there was no instructions included with the switches. As both switches did the same thing, I've got to believe that is how they were designed. Possibly set up for AC which works for DC as momentary, unless you "reset" it with the quick toggling to set it to DC on-off-on. I'm questioning my abilities and understandings as these should be simple switches.

Nice switches. Wiring is solid and heavy gauge. These are stationary switches. There is a positive on each side with a neutral in the center. Once depressed to activate they stay on until manually brought back to center. Many switches recenter or are momentary in nature. This is perfect for my needs on some lights I am installing on my RZR. This would also work well for a lock and unlock system. Overall, we'll made!
