This was a great value. Better than buying the window kits that are precut. We were able to seal off all the first floor windows with this one box. The tape isn't the most adhesive so we did have to reseal one window but that was not an issue. Would buy in the future!

Effective at stopping drafts entering the house. Relatively easy to install and trivial to remove.

Don’t buy this… the double sided tape barely sticks. The tape on the top doesn’t work either. I installed it and less than 2 hours later the tape was falling off the window frame. Had to go buy my own double sided tape & re do my windows. It’s esssntially a waste of time and money if you have to buy tape and redo instillation

Super happy with this purchase and based on utility usage-tracking, shrink wrapping the windows have saved us about $50 per gas bill. We live in a beautiful but old 1920's rental with original craftsman windows in the living room. Beautiful to look at but complete waste of insulation and retained no heat whatsoever. Our first winter's gas bill gave me sticker shock and we live in Seattle, where it's not even THAT cold (former Chicagoan here - I know what I mean when I say COLD). Last winter the thermostat was set at 71 and would constantly run around the clock because the house struggled to retain its heat. Our gas bill came in at around $150-$190 every month (it's a 3-story, 1800 squ ft home). So this winter I was determined to find alt solutions and shrink wrapping the windows came to mind. Only wished I'd thought about this sooner. We read a bunch of reviews and went with this brand (vs. Frost King) based on quality of the film itself. The shrink film at first felt like regular plastic film but we quickly discovered how much sturdier it is. It took us a minute to figure out the dimensions and double-sided nature of how the film was packaged but once we got the hang of it, it was easy to install.I wouldn't rely on the tape that's included with this; it's not very strong adhesive. We bought a separate roll of insulated tape (think super-sticky packing tape on steroids) to double up on the edges. Good to go!My advice for 1st time folks is buy an extra roll of this stuff -- like all home improvement projects, once you get the hang of it, you're gonna want to re-do some windows and make it look better :)

I was concerned about it working with very narrow window frames and sliding window that sticks out but it went on with no issues. After reading reviews on the tape I did buy alternative brand which was not needed. It took about 40 minutes between initial cleaning, installing and cleaning up but would have been quicker to install if I had taken the binds down. Easy enough to do alone and easier if you don't have a sink in front of the window like I do. Hoping it holds up over time but so far so good!

Originally used these for my windows due to a small draft however the double sided tape that comes with it really does not stay on the window. Due to this i've had to purchase specific window tape 3M to get the material to stay the way its supposed to. You do get a lot of material which works out great for me but the tape itself it the main issue I have with it. I do recommend this however id say you have to buy stronger tape than what comes with it unfortunately. When taking a hair dryer to it the material does become tighter and has made a difference in temperature.

I tried this product over others that I have used before trying to save money and found it to be lacking. the plastic shrinks well but maybe to well. even the sun coming through the window causes it to pull away from the tape. A better stronger two sided tape would probably improve this product. I had to tape over the edges with duct tape to keep it from pulling away. ugly but effective. for those who may be thinking I don't know how to apply this product I can assure you I have used two other well known products every year at least the last 10 with no issues.

I purchased this product mainly to deal with the cold Chicago winters. I've used similar products from Duck and Frost King. They can work, but that's about it. Then I saw a review said that this product is thicker than other brands, so I wanted to try it. I was so surprised by this product because it can be sticked to eight very large windows in my house. In addition, this product comes with 4 rolls of tape, which is enough, and I don’t have to worry about running out of tape when I install them. After I installed every windows, I used a hair dryer to blow it. It is very flat, and you can't feel the screen unless you look really close. So, I'm looking forward to the results once winter comes. Trust me, this product will only work better than other brands!
