I rescue dogs and frequently get dogs with terrible dental disease. I use these to crack off the worst bits to help them eat until they go in for a full dental. Works great!

Im a Dental Hygienist, so Scaling teeth is cake work for me. That being said, I dread scaling my Dogs teeth like no other. He is that difficult. He builds huge chunks of Calculus on his molars which is as dense as concrete, theres no way to get it off even with a sickle (pointed) Scaler. Hes also very difficult to hold still, so I often accidently lacerate his gums trying to get the Tatar off. This tool busted that stuff of in huge chunks leaving the teeth relatively clean underneath. With just some minor refinement with a scaler, his teeth are finally free and his gums can begin to heal. Two thumbs up.
