Ugh, I used to have a musician living above me and he played the piano all day. My building is very old and does have the best sound insulation so it was like he was playing right in my living room. I had no way to document the decibel level, but managed to record the sound with my laptop's music app. I wish I had this then, but I have it now. Plus, this so useful since it also displays time, temperature and humidity. What's not to like?

This works ok. Personally, I'd rather have a meter that wasn't so expensive without all the extra stuff, like time, weather, etc. I looked around and even the simple ones are this much so maybe that's not an option. This also has a really annoying "feature" where the battery indicator flashes red often. I'm not sure what that's about but it really is annoying.Overall, this works fine.

This sound level meter appears to work well, and it matched levels obtained using an app on my phone. The temperature and humidity sensors are a nice bonus, and the display is bright. The settings are fairly limited, but they may be adequate as long as the green/yellow/red levels match your desired thresholds. It seems odd to be that this device is battery powered. The battery doesn't last more than a few hours, so it needs to be plugged in. It doesn't come with a power adapter - just a USB cable for charging.

There is a lot to like about this wall mounted or use its stand LED 11" Display.Likes:Clear crisp colorful 3 brightness level display.Temperature readout is accurate to the degree.Rechargeable battery, battery level indicator, can be used without the included cable. Then there is the sound decibel meter. Set to slow the digits are dancing around on an every second interval. Based on some experience it seems accurate and response time quick, I can't state factually it is accurate or sure the information as presented is very useful. Snapping my fingers or clapping the same way consecutively gives wildly different readings as does my television it rests on set at the same volume level. More practical information to me is if it were to provide a by the minute average. Then if sound averages consistently too loud you could say, that's too loud, turn it down. Spit second one offs that spike is interesting but not useful. Holding a long consistent whistle it still dances up and down and varies by 5 to 10 decibels. It's interesting and seems responsive to a near full audible range of frequencies. In close, if I had my preference the Time would be displayed largely and the noise level meter as one of the smaller secondary readings.I should note in the

Easy to set time and switch over to Fahrenheit. Plus the instructions actually make sense. Bright enough for the shop. Seems to work as it should.
