I was getting headaches while I was at work. I thought it was related to noises in my work place. But my employer said they thought it was my vision. So I had my vision checked, and now I wear glasses, but I still get headaches. Then my employer said that it was the lighting. So, I got a different desk lamp, but I still have headaches. I asked them to measure the noise level, and they assured me that the noise was within a safe range. But with this tool, I was able to measure the noise level for myself and I found out that the noise level isn't constant and is often over the safe level.It's such an easy tool to use. Just turn it on and it measures the noise level. It's easy to read, and easy to understand.

Works great. You can slow down the readings or make them faster, you can also hold in place. You can read in sones or dbs. Also has an auto shut off to preserve battery. The foam cover is kind of cheap though, falls off too easy. Tested dbs in a room with door open and door closed and you can tell the difference in sound dampening. Great uses for you need to determine if certain products works to reduce sound and noise.

The decibel meter is well made with attention to details. It comes with batteries and a screw driver for battery replacement. It's a quality product and very convenient to use. With a push of the power button you get readings of sound levels. You can switch to the decibel or sone measures with one button. The readings are as expected and my guess is that it's fairly accurate, but I don't have another measuring device to assess its accuracy. The price seems to be reasonable.

The Porometisto decibel meter is easy to use. It comes with batteries and instructions, a small screw driver and a storage bag. The instrument has different functions such as Fast and Slow metering, Max and Min, and Hold. I ordered it to use for metering traffic noise and it works great. It can of course be used in any environment where noise is a concern.

This meter arrived and just about one week after ordering, and was in perfect condition. Just add the three batteries that are included, and push the power button. It works like a charm, and does a few things very nicely. You can choose whether the sampling rate is faster or slower and also record the values, as well as showing peak and valley values. The only minor annoyance is the fact that the foam microphone cover very easily can come off and get lost. Not a big deal, but it would be nice to have some kind of retention system on that foam mike muff. As I tend to use these audiometers infrequently, I prefer not to put in the provided alkaline batteries, and instead use nickel cadmium or lithium batteries to ensure no leakage when the batteries discharge. Very happy with this decibel meter, and I do certainly recommend it. If I do discover issues during continued use, I will certainly update my review.
