Good, simple system. Does NOT come with the required square screw tip. Not a common screw so make sure you have a couple square bits before time of install. Would have been 5 star if not for that issue.

Excellent product. Well made and would buy again.. Would be nice if a tool to screw the screws in would be helpful.

I read reviews before my purchase, and had no issues with the square drive screws. I personally don't care for square drive, but they got the job done well. The diameter of the base is exactly the same as the balusters and visually great.

I purchased these to install some 26 X 3/4 inch round black balusters on a railing surrounding my basement stairwell. These worked great. They are a plastic/nylon material and come with stainless steel #2 square drive wood screws for install. I laid out the 2 X 4 and predrilled the screw holes with a very small drill bit so the screws would have enough material for a good bite. I installed the screws by hand with a hand screwdriver for a snug but not too tight fit. These worked great and look fantastic. They blend in with the balusters perfectly. You don't even know they are there. A tip for install is to install the bottom 2 X 4, slip the balusters over the bottom row and tilt the top 2 X 4 into the balusters. Starting from one end and trying to align each baluster is too time consuming and aggravating. I also assembled the longer runs with a 1/4 inch threaded rod, recessed nuts and washers thru a center baluster and thru these and the 2 X 4 . Another reviewer used 3/8" rod but that's kind of an overkill. It also helps with keeping everything tight if the 2 X 4s warp.

Great idea but didn't work for 3/4" pipe only 1/2" so couldn't use them

Looks great until the rails warp. Drill holes for the 3/4" balusters (unless you are absolutely sure your rails will not warp).
