Installation Guide
Step 1: Attach First Nail
Attach the decorative nail in a corner. Tap the first nail into the fabric and wood. Use a rubber mallet to work the nail into the frame without damaging its head.
Step 2: Measure and Mark
Measure and mark a new point with pencil so that nailheads are evenly spaced.
Step 3: Attach Nail Heads
Attach the decorative nail to the spot you measured. Hold the nails with pliers in order to protect your hands, eyes and avoid bending. Then repeat the process.

I'm not an upholsterer, so I don't have experience with these. But, I needed them for this project, and I thought these felt pretty high quality, and they looked nice. The finish was smooth and clean. They felt sturdy, and while I bent my fair share of them, I'm sure that was my error, and not because of faulty tacks.

I tacked around the front edge of a pair of shoes with these on some poorly-made shoes that would not stay glued to their soles. When I took the shoes to a repair shop, they said it wouldn't be worth it to have them stitched. These tacks did the job and kinda matched the metal stud design on the top of the shoe.

I purchased the tacks to customize my 2 pc couch set. I haven’t installed them yet but plan to do so in the next few days.I think that the tacks will add a more elegant look to my otherwise plain couches.

These upholstery tacks really held up to hammering, no bending or scuffed heads. They worked well on the project I posted in the photo.

These look good 90% of the time. They are easy to apply. They don’t good 10% of the time they are stuck in the bottom of your foot. Wish they had some ridges to keep them secured and bite into the furniture so guests your dog sitter doesn’t impale themselves on them. Would suggest using a bit of glue to ensure they don’t come out.

I reupholstered an old chair with ultra suede fabric and used the deco tacks upholstery nails as a design element on the back of the back rest. I bought two sizes not knowing which would look better. I ended up using the 1" nails. It modernized the chair, looks like a million dollars! I followed the directions exactly. I was afraid of bending the nails. I was very careful and used needle nose pliers and a rubber mallet, as per the directions. It worked perfectly!! None of the tacks bent. I am so happy with the results!!
