I tested this in a 5gallon bucket of water. After a couple weeks there was rust coming out of the internals of the pump. A lot of rust. This is a terrible product, learn from me, don’t buy this or any version that looks like this

I purchased this pump in summer of 2022. I wasn't able to have the well drilled until August of 2023. The pump was installed September of 2023. It quit working beginning of December 2023. Manufacturer sent me a replacement drive motor. While disassembling the pump. Other failures were noticed. The pump mechanism failed, the drive motor housing had failed and was full of water. The manufacturer wants more pictures. I am through with this run around and this manufacturer. Do not waste your money on this garbage product. It is not my responsibility to completely disassemble and repair your failed product. I didn't buy pieces and assemble them. I bought a entire well pump. So that's is exactly what should have been provided as a warranty return.

It quit working a month after buying it un sure why was working pretty good un till it just quit was going to add a pressure tank and switch to upgrade pressure but never got that far it has ok pressure could be a bit stronger but for 12v it did the job just wish it would have worked longer because I'm practically off grid and don't have easy access to water have a well but no pump winters are harsh so hopefully the next one will do the trick tho I love the concept

Works as expected. I am using this pump for my irrigation system. I am using it with my 200w solar panels and 2 deep cycle RV batteries. You can't hook the pump directly to the solar controller because it draws too much power. In my case I connect a rely to the controller and the pump to the batteries through the relay. When the batteries are charged, the controller activates the relay which sends power to the pump. When the batteries are depleted, the controller de-activates the relay and the pump shuts off. The system works so well that I had to install an on/off switch on the pump, otherwise it pumps for too many hours.

I used one of these pumps for pumping water from a 60 ft well. It is connected directly to 2 330 watt panels and starts working as soon as the sun hits the panels until it stops when there is not enough light. We use it for a tilapia project and it pumps between 12000 and 15000 liters a day.I recently bought 3 more and they all started working fine and then stopped pumping even though the motor was working. I took it apart and found that the rotor had broken the part where the sleive is fixed. I fixed this by using epoxy to fix the rubber sleive back in place. I had to do it on all 3 of the.last units and they worked fine after that. I am in Guatemala and it is not so easy to return so we look at ways if fixing things. Apart from this it has been a great pump and I don't need any controller. An on off switch may be handy but I just have it direct to the panels and use 1 inch pvc pipe directly to the pump.It would be nice if the manufacturer made the ruber part a bit sturdier as to not have this problem, not a very hard thing to do.

I'm currently using this 24v pump down a 50 foot drilled well hooked up to four 6v in series agm batteries with 600w of solar (overkill but all leftover parts from RV upgrade) and a cheap 24v solar controller.Pump feeds a pressure tank and regular set at 50psi and has a backfeed valve to prevent "hammering" when it stops pumping. This all goes to a 1 inch pvc pipe running 200 feet to my RV site. I have had zero problems the last 7 months of using it daily. Besides RV uses I've filled 1000 gallon pool repeatedly (water gets dirty with use), washed vehicles, and watered lawns with 2 sprinklers at once.I waited for second summer season to leave a review. Would recommend and buy again. For the price even if it died in 3-5 years I would keep buying this pump. Hopefully I get 10 years or more.

Had a different brand of pump die on me after a year, and decided to try this one. It's working well for now.I have four 12v panels 100w each, (actual volts is something like 18v on each panel).Hooked two pairs of panels in series, then hooked each pair in parallel in order to get 24volts (actual volts = 36v).My DC multimeter was showing the pump pulled 4.5 amps when turned on under full sun. Not sure if I was using the multimeter correctly so your mileage may vary. The 1" black poly pipe I have this pump connected to is a little loose on the 25mm connection but I tightened a hose clamp on it nice and tight and it appears to be holding alright for now.Our pump is ~60ft down the well, our water level is at ~30 ft, and we get about 4gpm.In the early morning I can hear the pump barely turning in the well, even though it doesn't have enough power to get water out of the well due to the sun being down, but once the sun really hits the panels the pump gets going. We'll see how quickly it wears out but the construction is decent, the exterior appears to be stainless as advertised. For wiring we purchased 3 strand submersible pump wires but didn’t use the green ground wire. We bought solder and a small torch to solder solid core wires to the pump wires (which are stranded wire). We sheathed those soldered connections in waterproof heat shrink which is available online, called submersible pump heat shrink tube.edit: March 2023 - pump is still pumpingEdit2: sept 2024 pump still pumping.
