Exactly what was advertised, the server runs great! A USB stick and a box of Nerds were included too! And it came right on time. Very pleased with this purchase.

Took me a little while to get this in place and built. BUT, it's going now and I'm happy with it. I finally have the iDRAC disabled after finding out the license for it was $90. Also if you're installing ESXi please remember that you will find the ISO for this machine listed under Custom ISOs... after I figured that out it's been up and running and getting loaded up since.

Got a call with some customization options which I was happy to get, the system was well cleaned and came well packaged and in good condition. Everything worked well out of the box. I put proxmox on it and have been loving it ever since.

The server showed up quickly and works well. One drawback would be one of the two power supplies reports as being bad in diagnostics and also repeatedly reports as bad ESXi & vCenter.

Received the server in somewhat good shape. Looks like it spent a while doing serious IT work, and either it or the neighboring server was pulled out of the racks many times during its lifetime (paint at the top and bottom of the front is chipped and bare metal exposed). The inside was definitely professionally cleaned though and it works well, which is what counts when getting a refurb.Just a warning. The PERC H310 and PERC H710 raid cards in Dell R620 servers tend to come loose in shipping, as they are only clipped in with a tiny blue plastic clip and inserted on a LIF socket. Mine came unseated during transit, and I had to reseat it before the system would see and use it. Not a fault of the refurbishing party, but more a shipping issue to be aware of. If you don't see your hard disks, or you don't see the PERC H310/H510/H710 firmware listed at boot time, this is your most likely issue. Look at the Dell R620 Service Manual for location and how to reseat the RAID controller... I already knew how to do this because I handle these servers all the time.Mine came with a 16x4GB configuration, rather than an 8x8GB. From my point of view, that doesn't matter though, as it was purchased for raw processing power and network throughput. 64GB of RAM is overkill for what I'm doing, so I don't need additional free memory slots. The version I got was also a 10 drive chassis, rather than the 8 drive unit. Would have been nice to have the USB and VGA on the front. But once setup is done and the unit is in my rack, it won't matter, and I may eventually take advantage of the 2 extra drive bays...The Dell x520-D2 10 Gb SFP+ fiber compatible network cards (low profile) work well in these, and the Dell Lifecycle Controller will even update the firmware on those cards for you, if you use them. I have three on them in mine (using the system for intelligent routing tasks).Overall recommended for those people/small businesses that have a use for a budget system with some high end processing needs.

Bought this for a Domain Controller for a customer of mine and the only issue I had was that the BIOS and iDRAC were out of date and needed to be updated but that is a small issue that is easy fixed. You can update either online or offline and you can even load Dell update tool on the server so if you are on the Internet it will grab all the driver and firmware updates you need and install them. I would buy from this company again in fact ready to buy a server for a small SMB NAS storage array.

The unit arrived well in advance of its estimated time frame. The units primary purpose was to replace an existing esxi hosts that was too old to attempt repairs. This unit works great. Although the picture that was advertised was not the unit received for the most part. If your going to show a picture with Drive trays in the units 8 slots then you either should supply 8 drive blanks or 8 drive trays. Either would have been fine to me. The unit description did not mention anything about drive trays being or not being included, then by the represented picture should accompany the unit. I'm happy the unit is working but description including picture should represent what you are selling. I'd expect this from Ebay but not Amazon. In my opinion, its all about the details.
