Don’t waste your time if your trying to replace a Holley sniper IAC, your better off buying the one off Holley a website. This one would not settle out and would surge drastically especially after a hot start. Issues that only happened after installing this.

Very happy with product. Replaced faulty OEM IAC module included with my Holley Sniper EFI, once installed it made an instant difference.

I was having problems with starting my truck, I would start the truck but it wouldn't idle and then it would sputter and die. To add insult to injury, there were no Check Engine Light (CEL's) codes being thrown by the computer - either pending or stored. If I kept my foot down on the accelerator (gas pedal) I can finagle the engine to run and get it out of gear and driving but it was super sketchy and dangerous as I'm literally lurching forward and then the engine would stall again if I didn't keep feathering the accelerator when stopped, and then having to place it in in neutral, only to have to throw it in gear to get it going. Once driving, the truck acted normal - no surging, sputtering, etc. After narrowing out the usual suspects; battery, spark plugs, plug wires, fuel pump, injectors I started to google symptoms and viola found the same issue with the Dodge Rams with the 5.9L engine. I looked around at all of the local parts stores, Napa was the only one that had this part (same model, etc) in stock. But of course they wanted almost a 100 bucks for it. I am cheap, so I ordered it and waited the two days to get it, the old Idle Air control Valve was a pain to remove since I had to pull the air box, the air box plate, an then remove two torx screws facing towards the fire wall. The old part (specifically the shiny metal part in the picture for this item) was covered in carbon (black), I tried to use an ohm meter to check if it could be salvaged, but then quickly remembered what a pain in the butt the part was to remove and how dangerous it was to try to get the truck to move in the first place. Placing the new part in was easy compared to removing, just the opposite of removal. I also took the time to replace the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) Borg Warner EC3208 Sensor, since it was in the same general area, the same age as the IAC, and I really didn't want to pull this bad boy apart. I urge you to use caution, there are many other parts here on Amazon that will pop up with the two parts I have mentioned - and they are a lot cheaper. Caveat Emptor folks, the cheap comes out expensive and these parts are not quality. IMHO Hope this review helps.....
