My faucet was 14 yrs old and I was worried the color and look of the this stainless handle would not match but it was an exact replacement! This is a quality item with a good feel and look. It came complete and ready to install. I would buy another. This was not as expensive as having to replace everything so am quite pleased with the outcome. My wife didn’t even notice it was a new handle.

My broken Delta faucet was installed in 2006 and the manual with the model number in it could not be located. So, even though this handle is not as tall as my old one, I took a chance and ordered this handle and got lucky. It works!Sometimes things have a way of working out and I saved hundreds of dollars vs. buying and paying for the installation of a new faucet.

The handle fit the stem well and the set screw is large and secure. The only negative was the plastic red/blue insert didn’t snap into the screw recess so I had to glue it. Hopefully it won’t be too hard to remove later.

I try to buy local when I can, but this was hard to find. This is an exact replacement handle for the 174-SSWF Delta Waterfall faucet I bought in 2003. I needed to buy this because the set screw on my old one seized up from mineral deposits over many years. Here's a tip, put a little plumber's grease on the set screw or even a little pipe tape, and loosen & tighten the screw every few months to keep it moving. Then you can replace the cam, seats & springs when needed.

Once you get the old set screw out, installation is fast and easy. You need an allen wrench for the set screw. Faucet was genuine Delta replacement part.

What can I say - it seems to be the same as original. Mine had the screw holding the faucet onto the stem stripped so it would slip off. This went on in under a minute and no longer falls off - should have bought sooner instead of dealing with loose handle.

Our Delta faucet was coming up on 14 years old and leaking around the handleset. The tiny screw that holds this handle onto the faucet had rusted so it was necessary to drill that out and install a new handle. This one came with the screw, screw hole cover and the handle of course. It matches the original stainless steel perfectly and once the old handle was removed, this was very easy to install. I also had to use to complete the repair. Now it works like new without having to spend on a new faucet.
