Used for an outdoor skeletons costume for Halloween. It has held up great in all types of weather. We really put it through its paces so I can only imagine how long it would last if we actually used it as a hat.

It’s rather oversized but looks great for costumes. Extremely sturdy and good quality for a prop-feeling hat. But don’t expect a nice professional hat from the odlen times, it still has a costume feel. Great bargain regardless

Used for a Halloween costume. Nice looking hat but a little small for my big noggin. I wear a 7 5/8 baseball cap and this hat is very tight and doesn't really fit over my head, but more rests on top.

If your hat size is larger than 7 this won't fit.

I needed a top hat for an event/costume; I didn't want some cheap plastic "New Year's" hat, but I also didn't need something for Charles Dickens reenactments and wassailing. This hat was perfect...well constructed, and not too expensive. It came with foam sizers for those who may need them. Had I not been wearing a wig with it, I would've needed them.I zhuzhed it up a bit for my costume and was very pleased with the results.

The material and build are great! Looks like a nice hat and more than does the job for any costume that needs a top hat. I have a somewhat small head, so it slips immediately down over my eyes. I immediately thought of stuffing some paper in there to keep it on, but there's actually no band on the inside to hold that sort of thing in. It still works if you fold up the paper and wedge the hat on just right, though--I might put something in there permanently. Still 5 stars, because for the price it's a great hat and I can deal with fitting it :)

The hat is very sturdy, and I purchased it after reading that someone who was generally considered large headed fit nicely in the hat but that there were foam inserts for smaller heads. I was mislead by the comments and should not have purchased such a sturdy hat. I wear a 7 3/4 or 7 7/8 hat size and this most certainly was too small. However, after a bit of working with a hair dryer, I was able to get the plastic mold seams to separate, without damaging the fabric covering and have molded the hat to work. The amount of effort I put into getting this hat to fit is a testament to it's quality and this will be a favored prop for years to come.
