Denso OEM is the way to go! Brought back the power, acceleration & gas mileage for my 1999 Toyota 4runner at 283,782 miles. This was a replacement for my downstream oxygen sensor which has a longer connector wire then the upstream oxygen sensor which I also replaced. I recommend replacing them in pairs for more accurate readings & having the peace of mind of not having to replace a bad one in the future. I had a 15% drop in fuel economy & minor engine surging while driving with NO (CEL)check engine light & couldn't figure it out why my fuel economy was bad. I had a tune up 3 months prior with new spark plugs & wires, ignition coils, MAF sensor, PCV valve, air filter replacement, & throttle body/air intake spray clean. I did some research online & found out oxygen sensors can go bad over time without triggering the (CEL)check engine light on. So I decided to replace both the upstream & downstream oxygen sensor. The job is not hard & will need some common tools. If your vehicle has rust on the exhaust system where the oxygen sensors are located, it can be hard to remove & can strip the nuts if they are seized. The tools needed:-12mm wrench-PB Blaster or WD-40-Flat head screw driver-Wire brush-Permatex Anti-seize lubricant-Shop TowelsLuckily for me I did not have any rust on the bolt & flange hex nuts. They were definitely seized for not replacing the OEM Oxygen sensors for almost 20+ years! First you will need to run the vehicle to get the exhaust system hot & let it warm down. Disconnect the Oxygen sensor wire from the electric harness. Spray PB blaster or WD-40 on the bolts & flange nuts where the old oxygen sensor is mounted on. Wait 30 minutes to let it soak & removal will be easier, less likely to strip the nuts. In my case the nuts loosen with some effort with the 12mm wrench & both oxygen sensor came out with no issues. The OEM pinch hex nuts were old & brittle, will need to be replaced.Use the Flat head screw driver to pry off the old gasket from the oxygen sensor housing. Use the wire brush or shop towel to clean around oxygen sensor housing & bolts to get rid of debris & rust. Installation is the opposite of removal. IMPORTANT: Make sure the new gasket that has the more metal side to face down on the exhaust housing, metal to metal contact. I had to get new flange hex nuts to replace old OEM nuts & found them on Amazon item# 90179-08059 with threads M8-125. It was a perfect fit & the stainless steel nuts are slightly bigger & will need a 13mm wrench for installation. I also use a little bit of Permatex Anti-seize on the bolt & inside the new flange nuts for easier removal for a future replacement. My 4runner is back to running great again & satisfied with my purchase!

Has helped to improve the fuel mileage of the 1993 4runner 22-Re by apx. 25%, as the previous O2 sensor was burnt out.Have not had the O2 sensor long enough to comment on product reliability.

I ordered this item and it performed as expected. After installing it I was able to pass the smog test so I can recommend it to anyone who needs it for that purpose. In other words it works as expected so I was very satisfied.
