I wanted to like this and I gave it a chance but this thing is just dysfunctional. I do not know where it got these positive reviews from ? First of all the top does not come off so I then realized they wanted everyone to poor alcohol into a spout about the size of a pencil. You will need a very small funnel to put your fuel in, or pipette. It will immediately start leaking. I made sure the wick was as wet as I could get it with alcohol, but the thing was really hard to light and even harder to keep lit. Man ... I'm thinking "You only had one job". It's shiny though. Did I mention that ? Mirror finish.

I brew beer and bank yeast in order to save a few bucks on each batch I make. I wanted something that was study, cheap and easy to use. This little fellow fit the bill. It is VERY lightweight, so it feels 'cheap' but after several uses, that lightness makes no difference in the performance of the device.You have to manually raise the wick, part of what makes this a cheap alternative, but a pair of needle nose pliers makes this easy enough to do. If you lay it on the side, it will leak out of the the filler cap as there is no gasket in the lid, but honestly, if it is filled with flammable liquid, it should never be stored on it's side, so this isn't a problem in reality.For my limited use, this fits the bill perfectly - cheap, stainless steel and shatterproof. I've used it about a half dozen times with a burn time of about 5 minutes each session and it still looks brand new, even the wick. I am happy with this purchase and I am certain it will serve me for many years to come without needing a replacement wick or any service.
