DESCIPTION
The complete kit includes a weldless bulkhead assembly to convert any kettle or converted keg (kegler) without welding, includes Instructions. It has standard 2 piece full port valve, and 1/2" hose barb. It fits into 7/8" drilled hole in kettle or keg wall. All fittings are 304 stainless steel, 1/2" NPT thread.A full coupler has been added in the back of the spigot to allow for the addition of any 1/2" male NPT fitting you need - barb, compression fitting, etc.

I have a portable fuel and diesel filter mod I made myself. Sometimes you may have dirty fuel in your fuel tank container so I designed a 5 gal bucket with a drilled hole in the bottom. Attach this and jb plastic weld. Attach a hose and fuel filter and the other hose would go into another fuel tank or bucket. Dump dirty fuel inside the 5 gal bucket and clean gas would come out to the other bucket.

The ball valve is strong and durable, especially for the price. I used mine on a mash tun for home brewing and haven't had any issues yet. It does take a little extra force to open and close when it's cold, but if you plan to use it for hot liquids, you shouldn't have any issues.

This was used on an Igloo 5 gallon cooler mash tun conversion. I had no issues with leaking as some others reviewers reported. Having made mash tun conversions before I usually had to play around a little to get a good seal. On this particular build it sealed right away with no leaks at all. For those who complain that they can't get it to seal right they either have a faulty valve that leaks through the opening because sometimes if there is too much play on the on/off handle there won't be a good seal. Or they just aren't good tech. You can watch several YouTube videos or one of the reviewers here gives a pretty good explanation on how to make a cooler mash tun conversion. The provided o rings combined with some teflon tape provides a water tight seal with no problems. Turned out to be a very worth while project indeed.

Ball valve is of adequate quality for the price. It needs two washers and two silicone washers. The O rings are wimpy and smoosh out when tightened even slightly. They leak if tightened just enough to keep the o rings in place but then they distort if you tighten to stop the leak and leak even more.

I bought this valve to replace the plastic "faucet" that come with a 10-gallon cooler to convert it to a home brew mash tun. If fits precisely in the existing hole, so no drilling necessary, definitely a plus. But unfortunately the length of the threaded section that goes into the hole is not sufficient for the nut that comes with the valve AND whatever attachment one may need to use inside the cooler (I use a bazooka screen, basically a cylinder of steel mash that can be clamped onto anything about the size of a 1/2" NPT adapter. I ended up using a male-to-male 1/2" NPT connector and a 1/2" NPT nipple inside the cooler, and I added a thick washer on the outside to increase the thickness of the cooler wall so that the round silicon gasket inside the cooler would be compressed enough to obtain a watertight fit. I would be nice if someone sold a ready-to-go kit for this kind of conversions but I have not been able to find it on Amazon. Hey, that's a business idea!

Only thing lacking was the silicone Orings. Very small and to seal.
