Easy to Install & Clean
DERNORD Quick Disconnects make the mashing and boiling process much easier and much cleaner. With traditional barb fittings, it is very difficult to clean the tubing and pipe fitting during the process. With these quick disconnects, you can quickly remove the tubing and submerge in sanitizer when not in use.
Tight Seal
This DERNORD disconnect comes with a spring loaded cover. That must be pull back when connecting/disconnecting, ball bearings that lock into the male groove, and a food grade o-ring that creates tight seal.
Anti-Skid Design
Anti-skid design, installation and disassembly more easily and flexibly, barbed retracting locks for easy slide-back, connecting and disconnecting just in one second, it is easy to clean.

- The fittings are machined well, and there is a red o-ring seal inside.

One of the fittings on a beer brewing kettle leaked. This was a problem, particularly during brewing when I have 20 gallons of boiling hot wort that needs to be chilled as fast as possible. I figured out something then but I ordered these, which worked just fine and I now have a spare for the next time it happens.

I have at least 20 of these female barb quick disconnects for my home brewery. They are fit for purpose, easy to clean & very durable.

Very nice product. Works as needed, a good quick-disconnect. The only bad thing is the finger treads seem a little poorly constructed and sort of peel off or have burrs. But that is a minor problem, otherwise I am a fan.
