Appears to be a decent piece of soda glass, though I was hoping for borosilicate for an experiment. It's fairly thick, so it should do well to replace a broken sight glass cylinder as described. My main complaint is that the edges are unfinished and extremely sharp. There's also some small chips along the periphery, but those shouldn't interfere with sealing. It would be a good idea to wet sand the ends to prevent cutting up your seals.

Cheaper than buy a new sight glass. Was able to replace the cracked glass in ours
