Even with the official tool (which just breaks the tie), it never gets tight. Waste of money.

Difficult to work with. Wasted a lot of ties and still couldn't finish the job. The other ties that don't have these ridges work better. Don't waste your money on this product

What is describe with a photo of the contents is not what was sent to me, there are no 12mm X 9" straps in the package sent."Design Engineering 010216 Stainless Steel Positive Locking Ties for High Heat Applications, (8) 12mm x 9" & (4) 7mm x 20" (Pack of 12)".

Do not buy this, this is useless. The positive lock are hard to use and requires additional tools to soften or tighten, and you cannot tighten it too tight as it will breaks. I have 6 installed in my exhaust and 2 of them breaks after 2 weeks use. Use a deadlocking ties.
