This tool is designed to tighten steel zip ties and works perfectly to tighten them up. I wouldn’t use steel zip ties without it.

I considered buying a metal zip tie tool but thought I would try this one out. I'm so happy I did, because this thing works and for a fraction of the price of the other types of tools. Other reviews stated that it didn't work, but I'm pretty sure they were twisting the zip tie ends incorrectly; pay attention to how it's done in the photos for this product. Also, make sure you use a drill that you can control the speed on; you need to go rather slow. If you can manage that, you'll be very happy.

Probably the best way to tighten metal zip ties. Leaves a nice curled end which could prevent the tie from failing completely if the ball lock fails. A must for exhaust wrapping.

One of the best features of this tool is how well it enabled me to get secure and good looking tie jobs done. There was a little learning curve. I found that it was better to use a hand tool to snug up my wire ties instead of using a power tool. The power tool ended up having too much torque, which sometimes destroyed my connection. With a hand tool I was able to control the torque well and I got the precise tension I desired. I found that using this tool was superior to any other technique I tried.

Tool is a must when using metal ties, cinches them nice and tight with ease but be careful not to over tighten and break the metal ties or turn the wrong way.

Nice little tool. Cheap and gets the job done. Not as convenient as those more expensive hand wrenches, but end result is mechanically sound and easy enough to use.

Simple must have tool. Makes installing metal tie downs onto exhaust wrap fast and easy. But you could easily make one of these with a spear 1/4” extension by cutting the male end and dremeling a slot down the middle.

I had some questions initially about the price/design of this tool i.e. seemed overpriced for its simplicity. However, having used it I find it to be well designed and much more effective than anything else I could come up with for tightening stainless steel zip straps. Very satisfied with my purchase at this point. – Doug
