This kit would be very difficult for beginners to assemble. Small felt pieces need to be cut out using paper patterns rather stamped on felt as in the Bucilla stocking kits.. Directions are unclear as are the numbers stamped on the stocking base. Very disappointed in the quality of this kit. Buy Bucilla brand. Much better quality !

we picked this particular pattern because I wanted to make it for my future Granddaughter but when i opened the package, i noticed the smaller felt patterns had no lines or markings on them.I was honestly confused until I pulled out the direction and they stated that I had to cut them out myself with only pinning the paper to the fabric...my only saving grace is that the picture on front is helping me figure out where the stuff goes.if you are a beginner, please don't buy this brand or product.seriously dissapointed becase the design is amazing.

If you are not an experienced craftsman, this Christmas stocking would be very challenging. Many of the pieces have to be cut out using paper patterns and some are very small pieces. My stocking turned out cute but I’ve been making these for 50 years. Buy Bucilla brand. They are much higher quality.

This stocking is cute! The embroidery stitching was basic and would be easy for beginners. I have made 50+ stockings and do not use glue to assemble them because I enjoy the hand stitching but felt glue can be used to assemble the stocking.
