It doesn't have a firm grip and they included random screw that had nothing to do with setup. there was no guide so it was confusing to set up. I would not buy this

This has worked out so great allowing me to create a bit more work space where I need it. The fact that you can pretty much attach and detach this wherever you want is pretty awesome. You don't need to though because the detachable piece that holds the shelf is a locking hinged bracket that folds down with a squeeze of the handle. It's functional, sturdy, and easily attaches and detaches from wherever you want to put it.

This is a nice desk extender, fairly sturdy, and I like that it folds down neatly to save space. It was a little confusing to put together, though, because it didn't come with instructions, and I had to refer back to the listing page to see the assembly instructions. I don't know if it was just me, but my package also arrived with quite a lot of extra screws (including a bunch of wall anchors) which confused me and made me nervous! I have no idea what those are for. (I see in the listing the picture of the microwave and this thing somehow attaching to the side of a kitchen counter?? No idea how that would work...) I was also missing the spongy stickers, but fortunately I already had a similar material in my toolbox.
