I guess if you enjoy adding luxury to even the smallest aspects of your day you can judge for yourself if the price is worth it. This is a nicely constructed product. But it's no easier to hold or use and a little harder to clean than a much less expensive dog grooming comb (as pictured). The teeth are no more gentle or effective for detailed combing on my little dogs' faces. The Pupwell comb is bigger, but that's not really better for detail work, and it's got a rubbery coating but it's actually not any easier to grip than the textured surface of a typical cheaper comb. This comb works well for removing eye gunk and tiny tangles but when there's an equally effective option for way less, I can't recommend buying this.

I own two Havanese/poodle mix pupppies who tend to regularly get what we call eye boogers. This comb does a great job of getting those out from below my little dogs’ eyes. The handle on the comb is much nicer than similar combs so I do think this is worth the money if you need this small of a comb.

This is a great little tool! It works well to remove eye boogers which is what I have been mainly using it for. I also use it to groom my Goldendoodle's face. The handle has a matte like finish which is very comfortable to hold. The matte finish helps ensure it won't easily slip out of your hand.

It doesn't work any better for me than the much cheaper ones do. I always thought, "You get what you pay for." Not in this case. This comb is 3x the price of most detailer combs, and in the very first use, the teeth are already becoming misaligned. So in this case, "Just because it costs more, doesn't make it any better." Keep shopping... you can find one just as good for a fraction of the price.

This detail comb is very easy to hold and easy to use. It has a matte finish that makes it non-slippery, which is useful with a moving dog. I used this detailer to comb out scabs from my dog who has seasonal allergies. He gets bumps that he likes to gnaw on, and when the scabs dry out they seem to bother him so I use the comb to brush them out and help his skin heal. Overall he doesn't protest to it, and it is so much easier than a regular plastic comb.

The PupWell Detailer does a great job on my Toy Poodle who tears a lot. His fur gets wet and caked and this comb makes short work of cleaning him up. He doesn't like anything around his face, but he tolerated its compact size fairly well. I was able to work quickly around his eyes because this comb is very sturdy and has a non-slip grip. I’m always rushing to get his grooming done as fast as possible and I wind up dropping everything. The half moon shape of this comb makes it is easier to hang on to and it didn’t snag or pull. This comb is a bit pricey when compared to similar ones, but the Pupwell is so durable that I think it will last his entire life. This is a great quality tool that works exactly as described.

Every morning I try to clean around my puppy’s eyes and he doesn’t like it. So it takes me twice as long to do. With this detailer comb I was able to easily and quickly clean around his eyes without a protest from my pup. Comfortable to hold and easy to use. My pup doesn’t mind either and now his eyes look clean :)
