Every time I purchase parts from Detroit axle I get reminded again why I hate them. This time I'm just lucky it's only a minor inconvenience. They shorted me one of the little bags that contains the castle nut, cotter pin, and the grease zert for one side. I've never had a good experience with this company for any vehicle I order parts for. Everything from ordering brake calipers that come with the wrong pads to getting parts with different thread pitches than stock, always forcing me to run to the auto parts store and buy more bolts or parts to finish a job. It's such a shame because the parts themselves are always better than oem. I just wish for once the box would come with everything to complete the job.

I read a good chunk of the reviews for this product and overall I had a good experience; except the boots and associated boot straps. Both of my tie rod ends came with grease zerks. I like that. They did not come with zerk covers. The components were rock solid and almost exact replacements. The outer left tie rod boot kept popping off but once it was in place it stayed on just fine. I can feel the difference in the handling. My inner tie rod ends were shot. My outer tie rod ends still had some life to them. I replaced the factory originals 4/10/22 at 202k miles.I say they were almost exact replacements because I used a micrometer to get the placement as close to the current setting as I could. It did not need an alignment when I started but needs an alignment now. I knew it would and have one scheduled tomorrow 4/11/22.As you can see in the photos attached the boots are the same length but not the same diameter. They are ⅜” too small (at least) in diameter for the 2010 F-150 power steering. If you are careful you can reuse your original boots, but the metal ties that come with this kit will not strap on. I used some heavy duty long zip ties.I have one picture with the original parts laid out next to the new. You can also see in the other two photos the diameter issue with the boots. I wish they wouldn’t even include them if they know they’re the wrong diameter. I digress they don’t even read their reviews. The job took me about 3 hours. Oh yeah, the castle nut on the outer tie rod end, I wish they would have put the cotter pin hole a little higher up, there are no issues where it’s at, but would be more centered in the nut.As for longevity, time will tell but right now they appear very decent for the price. Anything happens, I will update this review.
