The Rack n Pinion had all new bushings, except the on that goes all the way around it. I had to buy a new bushing kit, because it was not included for the replacement. I recommend including it for future custemers.

Installed and working great. Come with return label to return the old core. And according to the enclosed documents returning the old core will activate a lifetime warranty. Well packed. New inner tie rods, new boots. So far no leaks. If anythings changes I WILL change my review accordingly.

Update: barely over 5,000mi, and only 6 months later, it blew a seal. Now, instead of the minor leak the original rack had, it won't hold any fluid. My truck is now out of commission until I can get a new one and get it installed. Had I expected this, I would've bought one locally and been able to get it exchanged right away. I'm presently debating if it's worth the hassle of trying to get it warrantied out (paying shipping and being without my truck, and primary mode of transportation, for an unknown length of time), or if I should just write it up as a very expensive mistake and buy a replacement locally.Update: here I am, years later, with this on the back patio under the leaves and dust it's collected, still waiting for a response regarding how to fulfill this "lifetime warranty" it claimed, or is it normal to blow an internal seal that fast? This is a prime example for why i laugh at people that push products with a "lifetime warranty." My response to those people is always, "I'd rather have a product with no warranty that lasts me 10 yrs than one with a lifetime warranty I have to change every month."

This rack seems to be of decent quality. Make sure to buy new outer tie rod ends! The install was an insanely huge pain in the ass. I had to replace my high pressure power steering hose... the connectors that go into the rack are damn near impossible to unseize. I have yet to see any leaks (we have put about 3k on it), so I hope that it holds better than the one that the other gentleman has written about. The steering feels nice and tight! For now, 4 stars!

I have been replacing most of the suspension parts on my 98 4Runner since last year when I reached 200K, thanks to YouTube!! This year I decided to replace my rack and pinion and tie rod ends. Thanks to the people that shared their positive experience that made me decide to buy this brand. I have no experience of comparing other brands but this is good enough for me to give 5stars!! Thanks Detroit Axle!!UPDATE: it's almost 2 yrs, 17k miles of driving and still no issue. Will update again next year.........if I remember👍👍
