200k miles and the original steering rack was shot n shredded. Loose joints, etc. The rumors are true. Factory toyota steering racks wear out. So i bought detroit. I had a few friends who went detroit racks in the past. I bought the kit here for $200. Took it to my mechanic in mexico and had it installed and aligned for $100. My mex mechanic said itwas a good quality piece. So far, so good. Handles great. Tight steering. Im totally stoked. Make sure to send back the original for the lifetime guarantee. If it fails, ill update this message.
