2010 V70 - After initially working correctly it apparently stopped working. The vehicle is apparently capable of staying cool enough without fans. When using AC on hot days it will show the "slow down" warning followed by 10 error codes. These include running rich, cylinder misfire, ... . Luckily there doesn't appear, yet, to be any permanent engine damage (overheating).I replaced this with a new device. How to validate:1. If you replace this part, start the vehicle. 1.1 Both fans should turn on and then off after the sensors pull readings.2. Turn on your AC. 2.1 The lower fan should turn on as it is required to send cool air over the AC condenser. 2.2 If it does not turn on, re-seat your plugs into the device 2.3.1 re-seat the plugs into the device (don't loose your fingers) 2.3.2 check the fan relay/fuse 2.3.3 replace the fan 2.3.n talk to a mechanic

I bough the unit amd installed as a replacement to the OEM. After a week, the fans stopped working and my car overheated. I inspected the fan module and the DC/control power cable had come loose. I reattached and 3 days later it cam loose again. I took the control module off and found the Male connector spade was molded as a small nub not large enough to keep the power connector engaged. I tie wrapped it on amd the unit failed after 5 weeks of service and I could not return by then. I don't like negat7ve reviews but these are the facts. The connector using design doesn't ha e a large enough spade to catch the power connector clip and stay attached. I bought a second unit and it has the same defect so I will return and buy another brand.

Purchased this for my daughter’s 2012 Volvo XC90. It fit perfectly, easy to install. Very happy with this purchase. The price was less than a third of OEM part.

I purchased this because it is listed as a direct replacement for the dual fan control module of my Volvo 2010 XC60. This module is supposed to control two fans, and has two sockets for the fans to connect to. However, if you look at the photo I uploaded, only one of the sockets has electrical terminals, the second socket is simply a plastic socket without any electrical terminals. The photo shown by the seller is not correct, or they sent the wrong part. So, this is only a single fan controller and must be returned. If your engine fan assembly has two fans, do not purchase this.

One set of connectors was completely missing. The part was not as shown in the listing and could not have functioned even if it had been possible to install. The return process was excellent, but my car is still inoperable while I wait for another part.
