Does exactly what you want it to. Power detect seems like it works fine. The difference between a 2ah, 5ah and 5ah powerstack were noticeable. Great saw.

Docked one star -Works as described but unit was a display model & not entirely new. Misleading description saying it was new on Amazon ..the Box had been opened and taped back up and had display model wrote on the box and also model numbers printed on handle. I Will keep it because I called DeWalt and they will honor the warranty on this tool. The Tool is good in all other respects.

If you're on the fence, this is the one to buy. We've been using in an auto dismantling business for a few months now and it continues to impress. If your application calls for the beans, this could be more powerful than the plugin model. Very happy with the performance. Understandably, a big battery makes for a fairly heavy saw, but...toughen up kid.
