I love Dewalt products! But I am giving this review two stars due to the fact that it took two weeks for this product to arrive!

This is a great bit, after going through 6 other bits and messing up my rotator cuff, I found this one, and it worked like butter! Got through the brick in my wall in seconds! Wish I had seen this one sooner. Would have saved me weeks of pain!

Ordered twice and received the wrong item each time. Received the dw2555 wood/metal/plastic bit instead. The wrong sticker/bar code is on the back of this bit. Labeled as dw2572 on back, but it is actually the dw2555 as labeled on front.

The bit is exceptionally short and didn't come close to what I needed done, wouldn't recommend this product in the future

I ordered 6 of these (I had 64 holes to drill 1-1/2 inches deep) and fortunately for me they only allowed 2 at a time. The first one split the tip off near the bottom of the first hole. The 2nd one broke the tip off on the second hole. The 2nd bit also was drilled the 2 holes undersize (sheared 2 screws and had to redrill the holes with another brand) Both these bits were crooked and had a noticeable wobble. In my shop you will see a lot of Dewalt tools and I have always had excellent service from all of them, but not so these bits. Note that at no time did I exceed the recommended RPM or put a lot of pressure on these bits.I went to the local hardware store and bought several Vermont American and Irwin bits (the only 2 brands they carried). The Vermont American which cost about one third what the Dewalt bits did is still going strong. I am also having good results with Irwin bits.So here I am having very good results from two other brands each of which cost less than half what I paid for the Dewalt bits. What am I to think? Quality control is out the window I guess.
