The spring-powered drive feature makes hose retraction Quick, automatic, and easy. The 12 position ratchet gearing Lock allows for the hose to be pulled to any length. With the self-leveling system, the hose can be wound up easily. The dual-arm and professional grade all-steel construction is very strong and reliable. The hose guide uses a 4-roller design to help reduce hose wear. The rubber air hose stays flexible to work with, even at 40-degree F below Zero, yet still takes the heat up to 150-degree F without swelling or bubbling. The hose is kink and oil resistant under pressure and has a 3/8” x 3’ lead in the air hose for easy compressor connection. I purchased this for my husband. He loves it!! He already has it up and mounted, ready to use. I checked around local stores. This is the same hose and reel, a little better price at Amazon. Recommend

Well less than 3 months old and that's a fail! Could be where it's made? So Amazon what can I do about this? Amazon wants me to pay to ship it back! Shouldn't that be on the manufacturer? To me this makes about as much sense as wiping your butt before you poop! Well I have clean drawers but Amazon I'm not so sure about!

After less than 3 uses the hose failed

I wanted to update my shop so I could stop tripping over hoses and this did the trick. I found it in Amazon Warehouse at a lower price and nothing was wrong with it. I did change the mounting bracket to get the reel in the position I wanted on the side of a pole in the pole barn. It does a good job of retracting the hose. The hose is good quality. The item is heavy but I was able to install overhead myself using a ladder. I first used the template to start two of the screws and then hung the unit and installed the other two screws. The mounting bracket has two holes that will accommodate this install method.UPDATE 07/08/24. The hose has cracked and deteriorated to the point of being unusable. I had to replace it with another brand. The Dewalt hose is made in China & didn’t hold up 3 years! Never seen the sun or elements.

The brown exterior box looked like it had been resealed with new tape. The box inside was damaged, as was the hose reel. If I didn’t need it quickly, I would have sent it back. I was able to semi straighten it up.
