Worked great for about a year then gets hot and stops working after 5 mins when using a dehumidifier almost daily for 15 - 20 mins before. Might last longer for lower draw appliances.

These are great for charging your kids scooters. They never reminder to unplug them when they put them on charge and charging lithium batteries days on end is not safe. Hitting 3 hours is just a simple press. Getting more is just 2 presses as well. Great purchase would highly recommend

This is a countdown timer. It is easy to use as such. Hit the desired time button and it turns on. It turns off when time runs out. Well labeled and backlighting is good. If you are looking for a lamp timer, this will be difficult to set. Find something else.

I have a battery that should not be overcharged. It was a real problem. This gadget has changed everything. Life is simpler because it works perfectly.

Do NOT buy for devices that could be safety hazard if the timer turns itself ON and fails ON! I've had this for a little over two years and loved it until today when I woke up to find the timer had turned itself ON and stayed ON. It failed ON! Fortunately, I run my 9amp bathroom space heater on a dedicated 20amp 12gauge circuit. The timer and my heater cord felt like normal operating temperature: timer a little warm, like normal, and cord room temperature. The timer would not turn off via its buttons. I unplugged the timer and plugged it back in and it immediately was failed ON with the front controls doing nothing. Don't buy or use this for anything that could be a safety hazard. We had just gotten back from a 3 week vacation. It could have been very bad. I have several other different types of Dewenwils timers for outdoor LED and fountain loads, and I'll continue to use them, but I won't buy Dewenwils for any loads that could be a safety hazard if the unit fails.Technical: Only read if you want technical details. Internally its a mechanical relay, a Shori S7-24-A SPST NO relay, which should have been fail safe. I ohm'd out the relay contacts and it was NO when not plugged in. So the timer circuit failed in such a way that it defaulted to powering the relay when plugged in. BAD unsafe design. For the mfg, if you read these, the circuit board was dark brown to black around C2, C3, especially R3, where it looked like it got hot enough for the solder to reflow. When I plugged the timer back-in the 1st time, with heater plugged in, I could hear the relay buzzing for a few seconds, and the stopped in the fail ON position. After that it was just always on when I plugged it in.

I can say if it would work well for a heavy load electrically but it does what it says. I am using it for charging my cell phone and other devices so a light load. It works great for this purpose.

A reviewer said that it 2 prong instead of 3. I used a 3 prong to 2 prong adapter and it works well. the unit is the best for the price which is reasonable. It shut off at exactly the right time unlike some electrical mechanical analog timers which may run 15 minute over timing event. Don't like that as could over charge my battery

Really easy set up and usage. No pairing or batteries to replace. Activate or adjust timer with one button. This timer runs directly off the electrical outlet and your lamp (or other electrical device/appliance) in plugged into the timer. When your main electricity goes out, and back on, you need only touch one button to activate the appliance. No annoying clock resets. That’s it. Good stuff!

While most items like this only allow for the large-gaps in timing choices, this one allows you to add the times together to more closely get what you need. And the interface is obvious, so no instructions are needed once you learn what it can do. Awesome and helping me keep things charged without going all the way to 100% each time and wearing out the battery.

Very nice to be able to add up all times for a total of 7 hours 45 minutes. This timer is much more "time customize-able" than other similar timers. This "DEWENWILS" branded version appears to have the same internals as other similar ones for sale here at Amazon.com - they contain a poor Chinese 50v 100µF capacitor (brand = KNSCHA) which ultimately goes bad = I have had qty. 2 timers, non-DEWENWILS versions, go bad because of this capacitor. When the 50v 100µF capacitor goes bad, the timer fails to stay on (and also the lit-up buttons are not stable and flicker...). I expect the DEWENWILS to suffer the same failed KNSCHA capacitor. The solution is to remove (de-solder) and replace (re-solder) this capacitor! Use a good quality Japanese 50v 100µF capacitor as a replacement (for example, use capacitor brand = Nichicon). I have now repaired qty. 2 of these timers by replacing the 50v 100µF capacitor.UPDATE 2024I bought another 2-pack of these timers, with the understanding that I'll need to most certainly replace the 50v 100µF capacitor. One of the two timers quit working entirely after only 3 months! This time, like a few other reviewers, the main problem was the smaller 25v 47µF capacitor. So while I had it apart, I replaced BOTH capacitors - for the 50v 100µF capacitor I used a German brand (Würth), and for the 25v 47µF capacitor I used a Taiwanese brand (Jackcon). I do like the function and price of these timers (I have about 8 of them now), but I would say that nobody should buy these things if they do not know how to de-solder capacitors and solder new ones on. When you buy these, plan on buying 50v 100µF and 25v 47µF capacitors too!
