Cap fits great. Much better than the plastic two piece design. Screws on perfect. BUT be careful not to overtighten it. Mine seemed to lock itself on after just giving a good hand tighten. May just be me, but I played hell trying to get it off to add oil.

I took a chance without verifying the thread pattern and ended being a happy man when it was all said and done. This oil cap fit my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0L perfectly and it looks absolutely incredible!!! I’m still in awe to the fact that an aluminum oil cap was so in expensive considering the price of the crappy plastic oil caps made by some generic manufacturer. This oil cap truly is top of the line! This is my 4th replacement oil cap but I think this one’s made strong enough that I won’t have to be replacing after 6 months. And lastly it’s pretty obvious how it’s installed…

If you have an old TJ or XJ with the 4.0 you at some point will break the oil cap. They will come apart, You put this aluminum one in and it screws right in like it should and wont ever be a problem again. The price is on point and cheaper then the OE plastic ones that you would get at a parts house. Unless your rig is so bloated with addons that you cant cover the extra 5 oz. of weight theres not a reason to get one. Might even have it in your color, mine was red.

Solid construction that wont break like the cheap plastic junk. This fit my 04.5 Dodge 2500 with 5.9 Cummins. Should fit most years of Cummins engines even though description says it wont.
