I wanted to install a stair handrail, but needed to shave away part of a concrete step for clearance. This grinder did the job, albeit slowly. I have no way of comparing how fast it works it to other grinding wheels, but it did a better job than making a lot of cuts with a concrete cutting wheel. I would use this again fo grind concrete.

I was very impressed with a modern relief carving I saw in a brick wall. It was not clear how the sculptor had gone about his task, but the surface was very smooth and the figure had graceful curves. I did learn that the wall had been specially laid and the bricks were also special, being harder than house bricks but not as hard as engineering bricks. Also, there was something special about the mortar.Attempting something similar has been a casual aspiration of mine - until I saw this diamond grinding wheel and realised I could use it on my angle grinder to start my own carving. It being the middle of winter, thinking to practice, and not yet having a specially laid brick wall, I attacked the remains of a wall of now crumbling breeze block. It is all that is left of a demolished pigsty. The results were dusty and not very impressive. The disc ripped out the small stones in the concrete rather than cut through them,so depth control became an issue. Both my "artisticly drawn" sharpie lines and my goggles became covered in dust. It was not a great success. Also, my angle grinder needed blowing through with lots of compressed air.I have established to my satisfaction that breeze blocks are not suitable for carving but further experiments are going to have to wait for warmer weather. However, I can confirm the disc easily eats away at concrete.

The listing said that it works for grinding, and polishing. I don't believe that's the case. It is very aggressive works fine for grinding, but not polishing

Concrete grinding disc, that is approx 3 inches in diameter. The disc fits most angle grinders and has a quite aggressive cutting surface.I used the grinding disc to even out a concrete paving stone that had become a tripping hazard and that multiple calls to the council had failed to get someone out to repair it. The disc made light work of the edge without much effort.A decent grinding disc for concrete. 4 stars.

First, I'm a product tester meaning my reviews are 100% critical. I'm 63 and retired after 32 years USMC so I've seen good and the bad. If you've ever needed one of these you know how handy it is to have ready to go. Sturdily made. Be careful not to dive straight in with too much pressure as it will "remove" material. Start light and get a feel for the wheel and the "grain" of the concrete before getting too aggressive.

The grinding wheel I received was 3.125" diameter, not the 3.5" that was listed. There is no grit or rpm information in the listing and none on the wheel itself or the box it was packed in. The listing reads: "Grinding Wheel for Polishing and Cleaning Stone Concrete Surface/Cement/Marble/Rock/Granite". The grinding wheel I received is exactly that, for grinding. It is very aggressive with regards to material removal. If that is what you are needing then no problem. But, for polishing and cleaning it isn't going to work. Very course grit. I have done stone and metal polishing for many years. So I am writing with some knowledge. I needed a wheel this size to get into some tight spots on a concrete floor. And it will work for that. I'll come back with a finer grit disc to clean up the makes left by this grinding wheel. 3 stars because of wrong size information, misleading information (polishing) and a complete lack of information (grit size and rpm rating).

This concrete grinding disk is a beast and really eat up the material very quick, it can be used on many other substrates. A great find that will cost way more at any other store. Durability, after a 4' x 4' surface grinding the disk still have over 80% or more life in it. Definitely I will get a few more to stock up in case price goes up.
