The grooves on the bottom of the bit really helped take down the dogs nail tips quickly and without extra heat. The curved section of the bit is excellent for shaping the nail tips. This is the best bit I've ever found for large dog nail trimming, and I'm going to order a second one!

This bit is a game changer for doing nails. We have a pack of 6 from a chihuahua to a giant 100lb mix. It works great on all of them. Quieter, doesn’t get hot, good quality, easy to use, fits my dremel perfectly, good price.

I will have my 70th birthday in a couple of weeks. I am not as limber as I once was. If I don’t perform occasional maintenance on my toenails they can get less visually attractive and they will snag on my socks when putting them on. I have a Dremel cordless Pet Nail Grooming tool that came with a cylindrical shaped abrasive bit. I shopped Amazon to see if there was some alternative bit that was less blocky. This bit gives me better options for shaping my toenails fairly quickly. It seems like it will be durable. Recommended.

Fits my dremel perfectly. Made trimming my Newfoundland's nails easier. The design really assists with situating her nails correctly. Her nails are extra thick as you can imagine, but using this bit does cut the time grinding her nails. Since my hands have arthritis, cutting with clippers do not work. Have used it for 4 or 5 trimmings and still working well!

Item arrived well packaged and as described!Works really well although Unfortunately the model I ordered is slightly too big for my dog's nails... But i manage to get it done even if it takes more time and makes it a little more complicated...Mesure before ordering!Overall happy with purchase,I would recommend / buy again :)

Works great. Does not heat up fast and the groove helps keep large dog nail sides beveled nicely. Takes some practice but is a time saver. Keep clean and dry and each will last for months. I do recommend.

I feel like the shapes for all the diamond bits are always kinda wonky to use, you either get used to it, or you'll hate it. I don't personally think it's bad, but it IS very different. I like it pretty good, I regret getting such a fine grain, I feel like it's more difficult to grind through those tree stump nails some of the larger dogs have, but it still works pretty good, and works especially well on small to medium dogs. It has already outlasted my usual sandpaper treads that I was going through nearly everyday working at a dog salon. I could still recommend this to a novice, or a professional.

I have three dogs and Dremel all of their nails. One dog, is a bit fearful with nail trims but has come a long way.I originally used a typical Dremel head but switched to this diamond one after positive reviews and notes of it being quieter.It does not seem much quieter, I personally think the Dremel has a lot to do with this.My dog does not seem less afraid and the top portion...I hate it. My dogs hate it.However, the nails do fray less and there are less particles flying for my eyes..which is great!Time is a little shorter for getting it done because it also snags less (you know when you hold it at the wrong angle and it vi rates everything...that).I'll keep using it and maybe invest in a better Dremel machine.

I just used this for the first time today, and it was incredible! It would usually take me upwards of an hour or longer to Dremel my two dogs' nails. Between the old bit just taking a while to grind off the nails, and then my dogs getting fussy and fighting back, nail time was something to be dreaded and put off. THIS BIT CHANGED EVERYTHING! It fit into my Dremel like any other bit. I turned it on and it just took down the nails so easily. I used to have to use a nail clipper to take off the length before I Dremeled it smooth, which my dogs hated. This just worked, quickly, and easily. No more clippers first. My only warning is that to watch closely how much nail to take off, because you can get to the quick (and blood supply) pretty fast. This was the quickest I have ever done my two dog's nails! I would say barely 10 minutes per dog. My dogs didn't really get a chance to fight back because it was all so fast. I got both done in less time then it normally took me to do one. Would recommend, with the warning of watching carefully and stop before hitting blood. When it removes nail this quickly, it gets to the blood supply pretty fast. Five stars.
